Mountain Rose Herbs– I use Mountain Rose for Ev-er-y-thing from making my toothpaste and deodorant to canning and storing my herbs. Their website is as gorgeous as their philosophy.
The nature of our work can be tough on our bodies, especially when we get those middle of the night calls, which is why it is SO important that we take proper care of our selves with proper diet and exercise. Below are a few of my favorite products when it comes to nutrition, exercise, and overall wellness.
These are some of the products that I personally love and use (most of them daily!) to maintain optimum mind, body, and energy levels.
I use this for toothpaste, deodorant, cooking, baking, lotion-just about everything. This brand is creamy and affordable, our family favorite.
Cacao: This is incredibly high in magnesium, iron, and antioxidants- purportedly one of the richest sources of antioxidants found in nature. I usually use cacao in my afternoon smoothie, and sometimes use it in my paleo avocado brownies!
Maca: This butterscotch tasting powder is from a root vegetable grown in Peru. It was considered sacred by the Incas and has been used as a food and medicine for centuries. Maca is considered an adaptogen- meaning it adapt it’s function to your body’s needs, and overall helps your body adapt to stress. I also throw this in my smoothie, it goes very well with the cacao!
I love Onnit’s Earth Grown nutrients, and regularly used it in my afternoon smoothies- they tend to run out of stock for this product fairly often, so get it while you can! This is also added to our smoothies 😉
When I’m out of the Onnit brand, I really enjoy Vitamineral Green made by Health Force. We also add this to our smoothies and there is no noticeable taste, which is great! I will also sometimes drink a bit with plain water, since the taste is nice and subtle.
